ELB SHUTTLE

The bike touring bus with bike trailer

The Winsener Elbmarsch supports you on your journey into the countryside

ELB-SHUTTLE season starts again on April 29th, 2023

Route: Bergedorf - Marschacht - Winsen/Luhe - Stelle - Seevetal - Bergedorf


The cycle bus runs every year from May to October at weekends and on public holidays from the Hamburg S-Bahn station Bergedorf to the Winsener Elbmarsch and back. 

With the free bike bus you can easily reach the numerous experience points, from Seeveniederung to the Stover Elbe beaches to the Ilmenau cycle path.

Along the Elbe, into the Elbe marsh as well as up to the town centres of Winsen and Stelle, there is an eight-shaped intersecting route.

The three circuits, each with nearly three hours travel time, can be entered and exited at will; sections can be experienced either by bike or on foot.

 

The ELB-SHUTTLE is not only a very interesting offer for cyclists, day tourists can also use the free cycle touring bus to visit the many sights along the bus route.

If you use the ELB-SHUTTLE on weekends or public holidays, the bus may be delayed if there is great demand and many bicycles are being transported. If the bus is overdue for more than 5 minutes, contact HVV customer management directly on 040-19449 while you are out and about.

Bergedorf station

 

The S21 takes you from the city center to Bergedorf within 20 minutes. From here you can easily get on the ELB-SHUTTLE on your bike or on foot. And if you still feel like it without bikes, you can simply rent bikes in Winsen (at the tourist information office) from € 12.50.
